Cañada
College welcomes 28 new international students this Spring 2016 semester,
bringing our total international student enrollment to 140 -- a 16% increase
from Fall semester.
The
new students are from: Brazil, China, Colombia, Jordan, Sweden, Kazakhstan,
Israel, Italy, Russia, Luxembourg, and Nepal. Vice Presidents Gregory
Anderson and Kim Lopez and Deans Lizette Bricker and Chialin Hsieh and Misha
Maggi and Megan Rodriguez Antone provided encouraging words during the
International Student Luncheon on January 4 and Redwood City Vice Mayor Ian
Bain welcomed the students at City Hall during a tour of downtown Redwood City
on January 6. We wish all new and current international students much
success in the upcoming semester.
