would like to take a moment to introduce, or reintroduce, you to the Cañada
College Wellness Center. Located in Room 303 on the 3rd
floor of Building 5 (around the corner from The Grove) the Wellness Center
includes the Health Center, the Disability Resource Center (DRC), and the
Personal Counseling Center (PCC). The Wellness Center was rebranded to
help unify all three programs and provide a safe and central place for students
who need personal assistance.

Counseling Center (formerly known as Psychological Services)
Open
Monday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and
Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The PCC offers a safe and trusting
environment to facilitate mental health care for registered students at no

CARES
If
you are concerned about a student’s mental health or if you’ve noticed a
pattern of disruptive or disturbing behavior you can make a report to our
campus behavioral intervention team: CARES – Cañada Assessment, Response and
Evaluation of Students. Starting this semester students can make a CARES
reports. Please feel free the share the attachment with your
students.

Resources
The
California Community College Student Mental Health Program sponsors great
interactive online resources entitled “Students At-Risk: Tools for Faculty and
Staff & Student Leaders.” The program covers 1) At Risk Students, 2)
Veterans on Campus, and 3) LGBTQ on Campus. You can access these
interactive resources using this link: http://ccc.kognito.com/. You will need to sign up
using your SMCCD email address, set a password, and provide some demographic information.
