Free COVID-19 Testing
COVID testing services continue to be available at College of San Mateo (CSM) for any student who wishes to get tested, subject to appointment availability. You can access the following website to schedule an appointment: https://smccd.edu/return-to-campus/testing.php Additionally, every home in the U.S. is eligible to order 4 free at-home COVID-19 tests. The tests are completely free and orders will usually ship in 7-12 days. For more information visit: https://www.covidtests.gov/
Free Masks Available on Campus
SMCCCD continues to make face coverings (masks) available to all students. Face coverings are required when indoors (unless actively eating or drinking). KN95 masks are available to students for free in campus Bookstores and surgical masks are located at various locations throughout all buildings.

Technology Loans
Current students who need access to internet and technology equipment or software required to complete coursework, are eligible to borrow available equipment such as Chromebooks, hotspots and graphing calculators. Simply visit, call or email the Library to request technology. For more information, visit the Technology Loan website.
Virtual Parking Permits – Required on March 1
Cañada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College now offer a system for purchasing virtual parking permits on all San Mateo Community College District campuses. Visit the Parking website and the FAQs page for more information, including how to purchase a permit. NOTE: the parking permit grace period extension will end on Feb 28 and virtual parking permits will be required starting March 1, 2022.
Presidential Search Survey – Complete by Feb. 4
As we begin our search for our next College President, the Cañada College Presidential Search Committee welcomes your feedback through a brief survey. Your comments/suggestions will be reviewed by the Screening Committee and will be utilized to assist in developing interview questions and any other types of assessments for the first round. Your comments/suggestions will be confidential and will not be shared with the public. Please complete the survey by 3 p.m. on Friday, February 4. In partnership with the California International Trade Center (CITC) and supported by the State Chancellor’s Office the Virtual Internship Program (VIP) is part internship, part apprenticeship and comes with a heavy dose of mentorship. After a student completes the program they will be given access to job opportunities offered exclusively to VIP alumni and will also continue to receive mentorship from our team of industry experts as a way to hone their skills.
