MASKING RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED

San Mateo County’s current Community Level is LOW and face masks are strongly recommended but not required while indoors at any SMCCCD facility. As the San Mateo County Community Level changes, updated information will be provided to students, employees, and visitors. Masks are located at various locations throughout all buildings. To track the San Mateo County’s COVID Community Level, visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website.

 

SUSPENSION OF MANDATORY COVID-19 WEEKLY TESTING FOR UNVACCINATED INDIVIDUALS

Due to the most recent changes in State and Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) workplace regulations, and the District’s desire to be consistent with the application of COVID policies for both students and employees, weekly mandatory COVID-19 testing will cease for unvaccinated students, and employees beginning Monday, September 19, 2022. 

 

CAÑADA ATHLETIC CENTER STUDENT PROMOTION

Cañada College Athletic Center is having a special promotion for students now through September 30. Use the student promo code FALL2022 and receive a $0 Enrollment Fee and two months' membership for free! Make it a habit with our special Fit-for-free promo for current members: Check in at the Front Desk 15 times in one month, and receive your monthly dues FREE of charge. Students must be registered in at least six units in SMCCCD to receive the promo. PARKING UPDATE

Permits are being reinstated for staff parking lots, and cars without a tag will be ticketed. Students can park in any designated student parking lot for free and without a permit. Students will be ticketed for parking in staff parking lots, designated handicap parking spaces without a tag, and designated red zones.

By participating in the survey, you will have the opportunity to enter into a raffle for a chance to winone of ten $100 Amazon gift cards. Participation is voluntary and completely anonymous. At the end of the survey, you will have the option to share your student ID if you would like the college to reach out to you individually and to give us permission to link your responses to your other academic data.

 

CAMPUS SHUTTLE

The Cañada College shuttle will run direct service Monday-Friday to/from Cañada and East Palo Alto beginning August 17, 2022 through December 16, 2022. Visit canadacollege.edu/shuttle for the latest schedule updates.

The Cañada College Fashion Department invites students to "Meet and Make Pillowcases" for children in the hospital with cancer. Students will make pillowcases and socialize afterward.
