Cañada also offers many late-start classes that are open for registration. Check out Late-Start Classes on WebSchedule to see what late-start classes are available.
Apply for Spring 2023 Degree and Certificate
The last day for students to apply for their Spring 2023 Degree and Certificate and be included in the Commencement program is Friday, April 7, 2023. Counseling appointments are available for students to get assistance in submitting their application. Please schedule an appointment through the Student Success Link portal or by contacting the Welcome Center at (650) 306-3452 or canadawelcomecenter@smccd.edu. We recommend that students make an appointment as soon as possible. Note: Students applying after Friday, April 7, 2023, may still participate in the Commencement ceremony, however, name will not appear in the commencement program.
Save the Dates and Submit Questions for VPI Finalist Forums
Please save the dates for the upcoming Campus Forums (held both in-person and over Zoom) to meet the finalist candidates for our Vice President of Instruction. The forums will be held on Monday, March 20, and Tuesday, March 21; times of the Forums will be announced soon. For our campus community members who are unable to attend the live forums, recordings will be available for viewing after the forums conclude. We are also collecting questions to ask the finalist candidates at the Forums and invite the campus community to submit questions for consideration here by 3 p.m. on Monday, March 13. All feedback will remain confidential.
Menu for this Week at The Grove Cafe
For this week’s special, The Grove Café will feature Chick Parmigiana, Chili Cheese Dog, Margherita Pizza and Carnitas Quesadilla.. For the complete menu, online ordering options, and takeout orders, please visit The Grove Café website.
Community Paint Days for the Cañada College Mural
The time has arrived! Cañada College’s historic first mural is ready to be painted by YOU. Come be a part of this milestone and join in on community paint days. Everyone is welcome!
You can learn more about our mural’s history and sign up for community paint days here. We also acknowledge that weather is always changing, so to consider everyone's safety, health, time and commute, our Mural Committee will announce at 4 p.m. the night before a Community Paint Day if a paint session is canceled due to inclement weather conditions.
Campus Shuttle
The Cañada College shuttle will run direct service Monday-Friday to/from Cañada and East Palo Alto through May 26, 2023. Visit canadacollege.edu/shuttle for the latest schedule updates.
Masking Requirement
San Mateo County’s current Community Level is LOW, and face masks are strongly recommended, but not required indoors at any SMCCCD facility except for those designated as a healthcare facility. Masks are located at various locations throughout all buildings. As the San Mateo County Community Level changes, updated information will be provided to students, employees, and visitors. To track San Mateo County’s COVID Community Level, visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website.
