What's Happening at Cañada Header

Week of January 29, 2024

Upcoming Important Deadline

Sunday, February 4 is the last day to drop semester-length classes without them appearing on your records.

Student Dining & Food Options on Campus

Cañada has several places and ways to get a meal, whether you are on the go or have time to sit. We understand that affordable, nutritious meals are important. New bundled meal deals available at The Grove Cafe can help. Please visit our Food Service site or view this Student Dining & Food Options flyer for more information on campus dining options.

Additionally, Cañada College SparkPoint offers free groceries and grab-n-go meals to all students in Building 5, Room 222.

Student Parking Reminder

Students can park in any designated student parking lot for free and without a permit. Students will be ticketed for parking in staff parking lots, designated accessible parking spaces without a tag, and designated red zones. Please view the campus map to see where the student parking lots are located.

Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles

The District Sustainability Team is proud to offer four hours of free electric vehicle charging to all SMCCCD students and employees. If you are looking to charge your electric vehicle, please visit the SMCCCD Sustainability website for instructions. Parking lots 1 & 6 are open for all while Lot 2 is reserved for employees.

A friendly reminder that after four hours, you will be charged at $3/hour at the start of the hour for Blink stations and at incremental rate at $5/hour for ChargePoint stations. You are also subject to parking citations after four hours of charging or if you've completed your charge. We'd like to allow everyone to have a chance at accessing the free charging. Thank you for your cooperation.
