Introducing Cañada's New Mobile-friendly Website!

 Introducing Cañada's New Mobile-friendly Website!

Starting today, the Cañada College website has a new look! Just in time for the new academic year, the College website has launched phase one of the new mobile-responsive website.  Updates include a new homepage and several other new pages on the main site navigation that focus on the new, and current, student experience. Users are now able to easily, and attractively, view canadacollege.edu from all hand-held devices, including mobile phones and tablets. Additional enhancements include:

·         New website with clean user interface, accessibility compliance for disabled users, and responsive to any size screen
·         Streamlined online enrollment process for new and returning students
·         Enhanced tools for faculty and staff to maintain visually appealing, and functional, web content
·         Easy access to the most important services and information for students, staff and faculty

A special thank you to Michael Ryan and Jose Garcia, from the Cañada College Marketing Department, for the time and talent they put into conceptualizing and building the new website. Next steps include the Marketing team working with every department to custom-build their respective webpages in the up-to-date mobile format that’s consistent in the College’s web design. Feedback is welcome as the team continues to evolve the site. Please send suggestions to canmarketing@smccd.edu.

The New 2017-18 Cañada College Catalog is Online!

The New 2017-18 Cañada College Catalog is Online!

The College is pleased to announce the new 2017-18 Cañada College Catalog! For the first time, this publication is published exclusively online. It’s important to note that, for the first year, a limited number of printed catalogs will made available to the campus (primarily to the DRC, Counseling, Admissions and Records, Division Offices, and the Library/Learning Center). Additional printed copies can be ordered through Central Duplicating for a nominal fee. With the new online catalog, sections can be printed directly from the website so you can print only the pages needed.

Publishing online provides students, staff and faculty several advantages. The new Cañada College catalog is now:
  • Searchable and regularly updated for new articulation approvals, program state approvals and minor changes and/or corrections
  • Responsive and mobile phone accessible
  • Downloadable in a PDF format
  • Printable by section or entirely
Please note that this is a “beta” version and is not the official “catalog-rights” version of the catalog. The catalog-rights version will be published in the coming weeks.

The online catalog was a joint project of all three colleges in the San Mateo County Community College District, and was made possible through the hard work and dedication of the team at District ITS, as well as Instruction, Student Services and Marketing staff on all three campuses.  I’d like to send a special thank you to our Cañada team, Jose Garcia, Jose Peña and Michael Ryan, for their work over the past several months.

We hope that you find this catalog practical and easy to use. For feedback regarding the online catalog, please email canmarketing@smccd.edu.
