Social Sciences TOI:  Ecology, Technology and Our Future Selves

While the importance of Environmental Ethics has become widely accepted, there has been continued skepticism of holistic ethical theories. Ecology, Technology and Our Future Selves argues for the relevance of holistic accounts by applying them to technological transformations of the human self. This talk will connect Aldo Leopold’s ecological conception of the human self to the extended mind debate in cognitive science. Presented by: David Eck, Professor of Philosophy.
