Hispanic Heritage Month: Latino Thought Makers Present: a Conversation with Esai Morales

18^th Annual Animation Show of Shows: Featuring 17 Animated International Short Films

7 p.m.

Cañada College Theatre (Building 3)

Featuring techniques ranging from hand-drawn to stop-motion to the latest computer-generated imagery, the 17 extraordinary films in this program were created by animators from Belgium, Canada, France, Israel, Korea, Latvia, Norway, Russia, Scotland, the U.K., and the U.S. Their themes range from gay issues and civil rights, to deeply felt personal stories, to the wacky humor that animation does so well. Many have garnered awards from prestigious festivals around the world.

Enjoy an outdoor shopping extravaganza with local designers selling clothes and accessories. Event features: a fashion show at 11 a.m., an Open House displaying student projects from 12-3 p.m. and food vendors. Vogue pattern designer, Sandra Betzina will be the featured speaker during the Open House.
