Dear Cañada Students,
Welcome to the Fall
semester and thank you for choosing Cañada College to achieve your goals! We
understand that this upcoming year may be filled with challenges and new
experiences as we continue to navigate during uncertain times as we begin our
phased return to face-to-face classes and in person services. Please know that
our surroundings may look and feel different but our mission to serve you, our
students, remains the same.
As we approach the
start of the Fall semester on Wednesday, August 18, we’d like to provide you
with some quick tips and resources to help you prepare for a successful
semester. We look forward to supporting you – from here you can go anywhere!
IMPORTANT
INFORMATION FOR RETURN TO CAMPUS
WEAR A MASK. You must
wear a mask while you are on campus, in accordance with the San Mateo County
Health Order. There will be masks available for your use if you forget to bring
yours. As long as you are wearing a mask you will be allowed to come to campus,
go to class, and access services.
VACCINES ARE REQUIRED.
STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFO. Vaccinations are required and you are required
to upload this information online. We are in the process of creating a system
for your upload. Please stay tuned for more details and instructions on how to
upload your vaccination information. In the meantime, wearing a mask allows you
to access campus and services.
GET VACCINATED. If you
are not yet vaccinated, we strongly encourage you to get vaccinated. We have pop-up
clinics on all the campuses. Learn more and sign up at this vaccination resource
website.
PARKING PERMITS NOT
REQUIRED FOR FALL SEMESTER
The District Public
Safety Department will not be requiring parking permits for the fall 2021
semester for employees or students. However, parking laws regarding
no-parking, red, yellow, green, blue, and white curb zone will continue to be
enforced. Parking permitting will resume for employees and students for
the spring 2022 semester. Additional information about that process will
be provided later in the fall semester.
