Apply for Spring 2025 Degree and Certificate
The last day for students to apply for their Spring 2025 Degree and Certificate and be included in the Commencement program is Friday, April 11, 2025. Students must meet with a counselor to submit the graduation petition. Please schedule an appointment through the Student Success Link portal or by contacting the Welcome Center at (650) 306-3452 or canadawelcomecenter@smccd.edu.
We recommend that students make an appointment as soon as possible.
Note: Students applying after Friday, April 11, 2025, may still
participate in the Commencement ceremony, however, name will not appear
in the Commencement program. In addition to the students who are grad
candidates for the Spring 2025 term, students who were confirmed and
awarded a degree/certificate for the Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 term are
also invited to participate in the Commencement ceremony.
WebSMART Update
SMCCCD is rolling over to a new version of WebSMART. This upgrade will include cosmetic and functional changes to WebSchedule, the Course Registration process, and other WebSMART modules such as Financial Aid, Student Services and Employee Services (HR). WebSMART 9 is planned to go live on March 8, 2025. If you need assistance, don't hesitate to contact the SMCCCD Help Desk. SMCCCD will be sharing tutorial videos soon.Financial Aid Deadline April 2
The
priority deadline for financial aid in California has extended to April
2. Now is the time to complete your Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA).

Best Practices and Resources in Support of our Muslim Students and Colleagues During Ramadan
This
year, Ramadan began at sunset on Friday, February 28 and ends on the
evening of Saturday, March 29. The Office of Equity and Cultural Center
have prepared a series of best practices to support our Muslim students,
faculty, staff and administrators on campus. This special time is
marked by important contemplation and practices that may change the way
our campus community accesses food, water, rest and reflection. More information about the observation of Ramadan is included here. In particular, we share these best practices, resources and event(s) in support of our students and colleagues.
