ASCC Election Results

The Center for Student Life & Leadership Development and Associated Students of Cañada College (ASCC) is pleased to announce that the ASCC “Special Election 2024-2025” was a huge success! All last week our students flexed their voices and voted both virtually and in person (at the Student Life Office). The polls closed last Friday, September 6 and the Center for Student Life announced the names of the new council for student government who will begin their 2024/2025 term this Thursday, September 12, 2024. 

Each candidate below has won for the following positions to serve ASCC 2024-2025:

Financial Literacy Friday Series

The Financial Support Program at Cañada College is here to help students gain financial literacy and independence. Our mission is to enhance the long-term economic success of our students and improve their overall well-being. Join for our Financial Literacy Fridays workshop series this fall! These workshops will take place in-person in Building 9, Room 123 (Financial Literacy Lab) and also via Zoom on Fridays from 10-11 a.m. For more information about these workshops and future events, please go to the Financial Support Program page via the Financial Aid Services tab.
 

Financial Aid Services Department Hiring Student Ambassadors

The Financial Aid Services Department is seeking two student ambassadors to join the team for the 2024-2025 academic year. Ambassadors will play a crucial role in the department’s in-reach and outreach efforts during the academic year and office support. This is not a hybrid position, and you must be able to work on-site. The hourly rate is $19.12 per hour with an immediate start date (pending work authorization and fingerprint completion). Position end date: May 23, 2025, or when student ceases enrollment. If interested, please contact our Program Services Coordinator, Jackie Flores at floresj@smccd.edu
