October 30 – November 9

International Student Center - Call for Photo Submittals for 2018 World Travel Calendar

The International Student Center is calling for photo submittals for our 2018 World Travel Calendar. Please send up to 3 travel photos (taken from anywhere in the world) along with information on where the photo was taken, to caninternational@smccd.edu by November 9. The winning photos will be displayed in our 2018 World Travel Calendar, and proceeds will go to a student scholarship.

Food for Fines

Cañada College Library (Building 9, Third Floor)

Have overdue fines at the Library?  Just bring a small donation of canned foods to the Circulation Desk, and get your fines waived! All donations go to Second Harvest Food Bank of San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties.

Halloween is Coming (Game of Thrones-themed)

9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Upper Lawn

Come celebrate Halloween at Cañada College with Student Senate! There will be free food, mini games, a big costume contest and surprises! Participants wearing a costume will receive automatic prizes, even more if the costume is in theme (Game of Thrones - Medieval). Bring your Fall 2017 Cañada Student Body Card to participate and win amazing prizes, or just to have some fun with your friends and professors.

Workshop: Personal Insight Questions

Learn how to start your personal Insight Questions and get helpful tips to make your answers more effective.

Jocelyne Fadiga, Research Assistant at University of California San Francisco, will discuss defining cell identity in an epithelial stem cell lineage.

Latinx Celebtation

Daytime activities include: cultural face painting, sugar skull decorating, educational altares, interactive and informational booths, food such as: Churros, Chicharones and Hot Chocolate. Evening activities include: free dinner, educational altares, sugar skull decorating, Aztec Dancers and a Video Booth: What makes you proud of being LatinX?

Q&A:  CSU & UC Applications & Other Transfer-related Questions

Transfer Center Building 9, First Floor

Counselors and Staff will be available to answer your transfer questions and assist you with your CSU and UC Admission application.
