Recognizing All Americans

In celebration of Black History Month, Dr. Daina Berry (Associate Professor of History and African and African Diaspora Studies at the University of Texas at Austin) will discuss the political, social and economic significance of African Americans historically and today. Her newest book, a "financial recapitulation of Black bodies and souls,” will be discussed - followed by a Q&A session as well as book signing. Sponsored by Social Scientists, Student Senate, and GE Pathways.

The Equity Directors at Skyline and San Mateo Colleges will share what they do and answer questions about the positions. This is the College’s opportunity to gather information as we work on developing an equity position at Cañada College. Please note that this will be a facilitated panel discussion with audience Q & A.
