Beta Zeta Nu (BZN), the Cañada College chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society,
recently attended a Leadership Conference in San Diego. BZN officers
Juyi Yang, Tamarik Rabb, Veronica Plante, Guyen
Galindev, Bing Lin, Guidance Gunundu and Bibian Gonzalez spent
the weekend with other California chapters attending leadership workshops,
fellowshipping and listening to keynote speakers from ACLU, CAIR and the San
Diego City Attorney’s office.
While attending this event, student Bibian Gonzalez
engaged multiple chapters in service activity that benefitted the Wounded
Warriors Project. Finally, the students found some time to appreciate San
Diego’s long naval history and also visit the Mission San Diego de Alcalá, the
first of the 21 California Missions, founded in 1769.
